Joined Canterbury branch in 1984 before moving to Australia. After returning to Palmerston North he rejoined Central Districts in 1993 and later the Committee becoming Branch Chairman for four years. It was a natural progression to National Executive in 2007.
Feilding – married to Lois with four adult children, Matthew, Laura, Simon and Hugh
His dad’s Jet 42 – Falcon Pursuit 170 and Colorado single stage, originally owned by Neville Sutherland

Jet 30 Mk 1 – Zehpyr six with two stage Chinook
Hamiton 210 LS3 and newly installed 212 Hamilton Jet
(and he still has the Steadecraft bowrider with 175 Eveninrude)
With a background in business management Richard gravitated into Real Estate in 1995 and recently successfully established Rural and Lifestyle Sales.com Ltd.
A keen sea fisherman, he also enjoys snow and water-skiing, an easy two hours drive away, around Lake Taupo. Enjoys working with livestock and gardening and runs a few sheep on the acres surrounding his home. Jet boating for Richard is primarily family boating, although he has crewed in race boats several years ago.
Seeing the membership of the JBNZ grow through providing better value to all members to encourage them to want to be part of the association is a priority plus, concentrating on not compromising our
river up-liftings so we can all continue to experience the special places Jet Boating affords us
