Canterbury Branch held its annual upper Rangitata trip on 16 August this year. Despite less than ideal weather conditions in Christchurch 21 boats made the trips into one of the most spectacular areas a jet boat can take you!

 

Those that made the effort were rewarded with pristine weather and excellent boating conditions in gin clear water.

There were plenty of reports of boats pushing on the upstream leg to the lunch spot just above Potts River. The downstream leg didn’t disappoint either with several boats getting into an almost blind channel which could have resulted in a rather large push! Check out the photos and video!

Yet another great trip into a not often visited area of the country, all those attending vowed to return another day!
